Atlantic Records features a wide range
of music from various artists and genres
such as Ava Max, May-A, Burna Boy,
Don Toliver, Jason Derulo & many more.
Atlantic’s target market ranges
predominantly from the western to the
middle eastern parts of the world.
None the less the vast majority of artist,
musical content & history, Atlantics
reaches fans worldwide.

They sell their artists digital and physical
albums through their store.
People can also access a playlist with all
of their present artists and legacy artists.
Atlantic uses distributors like Spotify,
Apple Music, and Tidal to dispense their
artists music.
They also have touring which is a part of
their many diverse channels.

5. Revenue Streams
Digital Streams-This is an important revenue stream for a
recording company.
Merchandise- Clothing such as hats, pins, stickers, etc. are
revenue streams for labels and artists. Especially for artists on
tour.
Streaming- Music revenue can be calculated through
streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music,Tidal,YouTube
Music, SoundCloud, and etc. Ed Sheeran in 2014 was the
highest streamed artist with over seven billion streams that
year (McIntyre, 2014).
Concerts- Live music is a major revenue stream. Lizzo toured
from September to July 2023 and raked in $86.3 million.
Bruno Mars recently went to South Korea, Bahrain, the
Philippines, and Chile for one-off concerts. He also did a
residency in Las Vegas and grossed about $65.4 million from
that run (Frankenberg, 2023).

Catalog Of Artists: Helping maintain & develop artists brands and image.
Brand Reputation: Atlantic Records is a subsidiary of WMG and has been
standing strong for over 75 years.
Networking/Partnerships: Maintaining partnerships with sponsorship companies.
Legal Agreements: Protecting Original IP (Intellectual Property) through patents,
copyright infringement law, and trademarks.
Sales & Distribution: SEA, TEA, ADA, WEA, etc..

7. Customer Relationship
The Atlantic homepage offers a variety of
ways for customers to interact by displaying
all their social media handles like (TikTok,
Instagram, X, etc.) they also display an email
to reach out.
On The Artists homepage they catalog all
the websites for each Artists for fans can
support and stream the music.
Atlantic Records is currently celebrating their
75th year anniversary by rereleasing albums/
vinyls of their legacy and well known artists.

8. Key Activities
Just like any other major record label, there
are plenty of services Atlantic Records
offers to their clients that help generate
revenue for the company. Artists can bene

fit
from the access to a better pool of
producers and songwriters to help improve
the recording process. The label also helps
out with branding and promotion for any
project an artist is set to release (What Does
a Record Label Do?, n.d.). Atlantic plays a
major role in an artist’s career, giving them
the tools to grow into a household name.

9. Key Partnerships
Some notable partnerships include the joint venture deals Atlantic Records has reached with
Detroit’s Assemble Sound and indie record label vnclm_.
In January 2021, the company agreed to partner with
vnclm_, where artists under the indie label will release
through Atlantic records, receiving distribution, promotion,
marketing, and publicity (Atlantic Records Inks Joint Venture
Deal with Detroit’s Assemble Sound, 2022).
January 2022 marked another deal with Assemble sound.
With this deal Assemble Sound, with its own established
team and facilities will discover and develop artists. Atlantic
will sign selected artist to a jointly operated label between
the two companies (Atlantic Records Inks Joint Venture with
Vnclm_ Label, 2021).
Atlantic records has also inked a partnership with INFLCR,
an NIL content and compliance software for managing elite
and student athletes. This partnership, Atlantic will use
INFLCR’s Global Exchange to connect with over 64,000
student athletes to promote upcoming music (Belmont et al.,
2022).

12. New Revenue Opportunity
Atlantic Records does a phenomenal job creating and producing
soundtracks for blockbuster movies that are praised by millions worldwide
and even get nominated for the big award shows. For example Barbie: The
Album and Birds of Prey: The Album have earned millions of streams. We
came up with the concept of having the big movie soundtracks being
performed live in front of the audience as a immersive experience while
showcasing the movie as well in a limited small tour. As the songs are never
showcased live and deserved to have its spotlight on stage. We believe it
will be a new experience for all music and movie fans to unite.
