FUTURE PLANS AND FINISHED FUTURE ACTIONS: REMEMBERING CONCEPTS Infinitive Present Perfect Form (Verbo en presente perfecto infinitivo ) TO HAVE SEEN ( Haber visto ) TO HAVE EATEN (Haber comido ) TO HAVE GONE ( Haber ido ) TO HAVE COME ( Haber venido ) TO HAVE WRITTEN ( Haber escrito ) TO HAVE READ ( Haber leido ) Future Present Perfect (El Presente Perfecto en Futuro) I will have gone … (Yo habré ido … ) Mr. Smith will have bought … (Mr. Smith habrá comprado … ) My parents will have written … (Mis padres habrán escrito … ) TO HAVE + VERB IN PAST PARTICIPLE ( Haber + verbo en pasado participio ) WILL HAVE + VERB IN PAST PARTICIPLE ( Habré, habrás, habremos….etc. + verbo en pasado participio )
GENERAL FUTURE PLANS : STRUCTURE We express GENERAL future plans with the following structure … EXPECT (Esperar) HOPE (Añorar – Esperar – Tener esperanza) INTEND (Tener la intención) PLAN (Planear) A verb in INFINITIVE Examples : We hope to start a new business [ We have the future plan to start a new business ] I expect to finish my homework by 6:00 [I have the plan to finish my homework by 6:00] My mom doesn’t intend to travel to Miami [ My mother doesn’t have the future plan of travelling to Miami]
POSSIBLE FUTURE PLANS : STRUCTURE We express POSSIBLE future plans with the following structure … EXPECT (Esperar) HOPE (Añorar – Esperar – Tener esperanza) INTEND (Tener la intención) PLAN (Planear) A verb in INFINITIVE PRESENT PERFECT Examples : By this time next year , I hope to have started a new business (Para este momento en el próximo año, espero haber empezado un nuevo negocio) “ To start a new business ” is a POSSIBLE future plan. It might or might not happen .
FINISHED FUTURE ACTIONS : STRUCTURE What is a FINISHED FUTURE ACTION? It’s when we say the moment an action will be completed in the future . (es cuando decimos el momento en que una acción será completada en el futuro) “I am 6-month pregnant .” “In three months , I will have given birth .” “En tres meses, habré dado a luz ”
FINISHED FUTURE ACTIONS : STRUCTURE What is a FINISHED FUTURE ACTION? It’s when we say the moment an action will be completed in the future . FINISHED FUTURE ACTIONS : STRUCTURE We use the FUTURE PERFECT to indicate a FINISHED FUTURE ACTION. By June next year , I will have bought a car.
