Is A Rare, Aggressive, Benign Odontogenic Tumor Of Epithelial Origin Accounting For Only About 1% Of All Odontogenic Tumors. First Recognized By Pindborg Introduction ?

Origin epithelial element of the enamel   I'm the cause hahahah

Intraosseous tumors (tumors within the bone) are more likely ( 94%) versus extraosseus tumors (6%) Type of it

Clinically Why slight predilection for females ?? Why!!

Ranging in age from 20–60 years Clinically

Clinically I ntraosseous Painless mass Slowly growing Post. Mand .

Clinically Extraosseus Painless Firm Gingival Mass Antr . Mucosa show ulceration due to trauma Headache

A locally invasive epithelial neoplasm structure amyloid like nature Histological

Epithelial cell sheets and nests of polyhedral epithelial cells with an abundant eosinophilic , granular cytoplasm Cellular outlines were distinct and intercellular bridges were noted Considerable nuclear polymorphism was a frequent finding Extracellular amyloid-like substance and calcified

Calcification deposit Are seen to be associated with amyloid deposit & can be either calcified amyloid or collagen As the amyloid gets calcified it looses it congo red positivity

The calcification can be formed as lamellae by fusion of small calcific referred as liesegang rings

Variations in histo . Occurrence of amyloid like Cementum ike like clear cells Langerhans cells Myoepithelial cell Clear cell variant

Radiographic On radiographs, it appears as a radiolucency (dark area) and is known for sometimes having small Radiopacities ( white areas) within it Usually associated with impacted / unerupted

Radiographic Large become multilocular with poor defined border soap bubble

Radiographic Small unilocular associated wit impacted teeth The extraossuse type show ridge erosion

Differential diagnosis Ameloblastoma When dentin & enamel present is Regional odontodysplasia complete radiolucent Dentigerous cyst Odonto. Keratocyst Myxoma Dentigerous cyst

Treatment Surgical removal by enculation Is more aggressive in maxilla So is more dangerous

Treatment Some Times If Extensive Replacement Of Bone By Plate Recurrence rate is 10% - 15%

Treatment Easy to enucleated Size 1-4 cm Grayish white or yellow When bisecting reveals calcified particles The tumor is solid or contain minute cystic space
