NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME Introduction- The National Service Scheme is an Indian government sponsored public service programme conducted by the department of youth affairs & sports of the Govt. of India popularly known as NSS. The scheme was launched in Gandhi Ji’s century year, 1969. And it is developing students personality through community services. NSS is a volunteer association of young people in college, University and +2 level working for campus community linkage. The cardinal principle of NSS is that it is organized by the students themselves & both students and teachers combined participate in community services. It is a sense of environment in the tasks of nation building.
