Capacity Building Program Induction Training
NEP 2020 Mandate and NCERT Guidelines on Continuous Professional Development of Teachers (CPD) Objectives of 50 hours of CPD:- Self - improvement Learn new innovation and advances Learn through multiple modes of training; face to face as well as online.
Prashikshan Triveni (CBSE Training Portal) Teachers and schools can fetch information of Training Activities: List of topics for training scheduled by different CoEs (Centre of Excellence) Registration for desired training sessions. Payment of registration fee. Receiving the information/link regarding the training on participant dashboard. Providing feedback and downloading the certificate.
Modes of Capacity Building Programmes of CBSE In-service training programmes will be organised through following modes:- 1. Face to Face Interaction Mode (Discussion, Demonstration, Group Work, Brainstorming, Case study, Role Play, Interactive Lectures, Assessment) 2. Online Mode (Through WebEx, DIKSHA , Google Classroom) 3. Online Interactive webinars (Official YouTube channel of CBSE)
Online Training Options [ DIKSHA, SWAYAM,] DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure of Knowledge Sharing):- Teachers, students and parents can download the DIKSHA app and scan QR codes in the textbooks for easy access to all lessons and related exercises. Helps from student-teacher enrolment in a Teacher Education Institute (TEI) to retirement as a teacher. To support Children With Special Needs (CWSN) Audio books, Indian Sign Language(ISL) videos and dictionaries.
SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) It is a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) launched by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) in 2016. Designed to achieve main Principles of Education Policy:- Access, Equity and Quality. The objective is to take the best teaching Learning resources to all including the most disadvantaged group who lacks mainstream of knowledge. All the courses from Class IX to Post-graduation prepared by UGC, NCERT, IGNOU, IIMB are free of cost to Learners. SWAYAM certificate is given to Eligible Learners after the final exams.
Committees at School (SMC,POCSO, Child Safety Committee, School Inclusion Committee, Disaster Management, Sexual Harassment Committee) School Management Committee (SMC):- Maximum-15 members, Minimum- 12 members. 1.Head of the School (Secretary of SMC) 2. Two parents of students specifically one father and one mother in Co-educational schools 3. Two teachers of the school 4. Two teachers from any other school or college nominated by the Trust/Society/Company. 5. Two members to be nominated by the Board.
POCSO(Protection of children from sexual offences) It was enacted in 2012. This act aims to prevent :- 1.Crimes of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children. 2. Penetrative sexual assault. 3. Sexual harassment. 4. Using a child for pornographic purposes, Members of POCSO:- 1. Principal/ Vice-Principal 2. One male teacher 3. One female teacher 4. One Male Student (Head Boy) 5. One Female Student (Head Girl) 6. One non-teaching staff member.
School Inclusion Committee Objectives:- This committee acts as a facilitator for children from disadvantaged groups and weaker sections mainly from backward class of the society . 1. Principal ( Chairperson) 2. School Counsellor (Psychology Teacher) 3. Special Educators 4. Teacher representative 5. Headmistress or senior teacher of Primary Section.
Disaster Management Committee (For school safety and disaster preparedness according to National Disaster Management Authority) Members of this Committee:- 1. Principal (Chairperson) 2. Vice Principal 3. Education Officer 4. Parent Teacher Association President 5. 1-2 parents (at least one Lady) 6. Head Boy and Head Girl 7. Representatives of Disaster Management Department and Fire Service 8. Representatives of Police, Health Department, Red Cross 9. Local Doctor, 10. NCC (National Cadet Corps), NSS (National Service Scheme).
School Affiliation System CBSE Affiliation Unit is to Affiliate Schools for Secondary and Senior Secondary School Examination. Inline with the affiliation By-Laws 2018 the board has recently launched SARAS 4.0 (School Affiliation Re-Engineered Automation System 4.0) Categories Of Application:- Approval for Middle Class Syllabus. Fresh Affiliation up to Secondary Level or Senior Secondary Level. Fresh Affiliation up to Secondary Level or Senior Secondary Level Switch over from Other Boards. Up-gradation to Secondary or Senior Secondary Level. Extension of Affiliation and Restoration of Affiliation. Permission of site sifting and permission of two shifts. Section increase.
Points of Evaluation of School Affiliation Mandatory Compliance:- 1. NOC ( No Objection Certificate) by the State Education Department. 2. Recognition under RTE Act 2009 (Right of children to Free and Compulsory Education Act). 3. Land Documents or Certificates from BLRO (Block Land and Reforms Office). 4. Building Safety Certificate from State Government. 5. Fire Safety Certificate. 6. Safe Drinking Water and sanitation Certificate from Public Health and Engineering Department. 7. Self-declaration of the Principal.
Physical Resources:- Uploading Documents regarding 1. Classrooms 2. Laboratories and Information Technology Infrastructure 3. Library 4. Outdoor and indoor Sports facilities 5. Facilities for Children with Special Needs like Ramp, Lift and separate toilets 6. Separate toilets for Boys , Girls and Staff 7. Drinking Water facilities. Human Resources:- Uploading documents of 1. Principal and Teachers 2. School Management Committee 3. Counsellors or Special Educators and other staff 4. Administrative Staff.
Physical Infrastructure embracing Inclusive Education Minimum Size of the Classroom should be 8m x 6m which is approximately 500 square feet. Optimum number of students should be 40 in each section. Availability of 1 square meter area of floor space per student. For CWSN Ramps in Toilets for wheelchair users, Auditory signals in elevators or lifts, Tactile flooring with raised lines to communicate safety information to students w ith visual impairment. Braille signage's positioned at not higher than as well as not lower than 1250mm from the floor. Other infrastructural facilities according to RPWD Act 2016 (Right of Persons with Disabilities Act).
