Background of the Study Acne is usually perceived as a disease of teenagers,and most epidemiological studies have focused on adolescents. Drugs and treatment to acne is very expensive and some people cannot afford it. According to some elders lemon is an antibacterial compounds that damage bad bacteria in our body.

Objective/Purpose of the study To prove the ability of L emon extract in removing acne for the people that has acne specially teens and share to them the easy, affordable and the safe way to cure acne .

Statement of the problem Are the lemon extract juice effective in removing acne of lab mice? What are the components of lemon extract in removing acne? What are the side effects of using lemon extract as acne remove r

Statement of the Null Hyphothesis Lemon extract cannot remove acne .

Significance of the Study The study will provide an alternative medicine that is effective,cheap , safe and available. It will provide medication that will not create complications in a patient’s body .

Scope & Limitation Duration of the study –30 days Will be conducted at the researcher’s house particularly in their garden. The study will deal in the extraction of lemon,checking the skin of the rat every three days. Two mices will be use.

Review of Related L iterature According to Debra Rose Wilson citrus fruit extracts are often included in skin care products due to their antioxidant content. Generally speaking,  antioxidants  — such as the vitamin C in citrus fruits — are thought to help fight free radicals in the skin and also help boost  collagen  levels. Samples were obtained from individuals having Pimples, by swabbing their faces, backs and chests. Samples were collected from Amanawa hospital in sokoto , Nigeria using Swab sticks. The juice of  lemon  is known to remove excess oil and helps get rid of dead cells.  Lemon  juice also contains  citric acid  which is very rich in vitamin C. The genus Citrus of the family Rutaceae includes many species e.g. Citrus  indica , Citrus  aurantifolia and lemon, among which lemon. L. Burm . f. has been reported to have highest antimicrobial activity. The chemical composition, antimicrobial and synergistic effect, and cytotoxic activity of  lemon .

Dermatology-  is the branch of  medicine  dealing with the  skin . It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A  dermatologist  is specialist doctor that manages diseases, in the widest sense, and some cosmetic problems of the skin. Citric acid- (citrate) is a weak acid that is formed in the tricarboxylic acid cycle or that may be introduced with diet.  Sebum-  is a light yellow, oily substance that is secreted by the sebaceous glands that help keep the skin and hair moisturized. Antibacterial   - usually refers to an antibiotic, a principal type of antimicrobial agent used mainly against bacteria; it may kill or inhibit them. Astringent- It's also a liquid-based (usually water) formula used to remove irritants from the skin's surface and even out skin tone. Testosterone-  is a hormone produced by the human body. It's mainly produced in men by the testicles.

Material and Methods Research Environment - to be conducted at the researcher’s house. The place is not hot . Research Design This study shall utilize an experimental research design with emphasis to quantitative-qualitative research measures. This research will prove the lemon extract as a acne remover.This alternative way in removing acne is inexpensive,safe and affordable.
