OBSERVATION
POSITIVE POINTS
•Appropriate no. of lifts and escalators at adequate distance render easy circulation and the
flow of the mass.
•Adequate skywalks to connect the various spaces on the floors.
•Use of multiple large skylight, and the large curtain wall glazed entrance lets in sufficient
amount of sunlight during the day
•Column-free common areas as every upper floor corridor recedes by 1.5 mts so that people on
upper flowers can see lower floor corridors and vice versa
•Service elevators and circulation space is segregated from the public services and areas.
•The location of the food courts, restaurants, and the FunCity, the INOX, coerces the public to
travel all the way across the various floors, thus exposing them to the maximum part of the mall.
NEGATIVE POINTS
oAlmost no area is allocated to landscaping, since the building structure covers most of the site
area.
oThe site is located just next to one of the heaviest populated cross roads of Kanpur, thus it leads
to the presence of heavy traffic at all hours of the day.
oThe building is located close to the boundary, hence no way to capture the entire structure in
one glance.
