The Child is wholly dependent on the Govt. Servant. The Child must study in a recognized school in regular or correspondence or distance learning. Maximum two eldest surviving children only .
If second child birth is multiple (twins or more) they are also eligible. If first child birth is multiple (twins or more) they are eligible but not eligible for second birth. It is eligible for the first child born after failure of sterilization operation beyond two children.
Eligible from classes I to XII plus 2 classes prior to Class-I (i.e., LKG&UKG ). Only CEA or Hostel Subsidy can be availed at a time. Age limit is maximum 20 years for normal and 22 years for disabled children or till the time of passing XlI Class whichever is earlier.
CEA C ertificate from the head of the institution (Hostel) confirming that the child studied in the school(Hostel) during the previous academic year is sufficient. Eligibility only after completion of academic year and they can draw CEA/HS only from next financial year at once as per latest order issued by DOPT dated 16-8-2017 .
. Hostel subsidy means expenses incurred by a GS (Govt. Servant) for keeping his/her children in a hostel of a residential school beyond 50 kms from his/her residence If both parents are eligible for such assistance, only one of them can claim with joint declaration certificate
