A bacterium, a plant, a dog or even all the parts your body is made of have a common characteristic; all of them are made of cells, that form a structural, functional and reproductive unit of the living beings, since the bacterium to the biggest plant organism are made of one or two cells.

Roberth Hooke This discovering is given to naturalist Robert Hooke who in 1665 doing a different experiment accidentally discovered the cells. Hooke took a knife, with which he cut thin plates of plugs and when he observed them (Using a microscope he made by himself) he watched some porous structure similar than a bee panels so that he called them: “ Cella ”.
Anton van Leeuwenhoek the Dutchman (Holland man) Anton van Leeuwenhoek who was a fabric seller and a microscopic builder too; decided to take water and watch what was inside. He discovered a huge variety of small organism which he called: “Animalcules” because their movement was similar than animals.
