Central T endency The central tendency is one of the most quintessential concepts in statistics. It is defined as “Central tendency is a descriptive summary of a dataset through a single value that reflects the center of the data distribution. Along with the variability (dispersion) of a dataset.”

Types of Central T endency The types of central tendency are givern below Mean Median Mode

Mean In simple words Represents the sum of all values in a dataset divided by the total number of the values. OR Mean of a set of numbers is the sum of the numbers divided by the number of items in the list. For example: 3 , 5, 6,1, 2, 7 Solution mean=3+5+6+1+2+7 / 6 mean=24/6 mean=4

Median The median is the middle number in a data set. To find the median, list your data points in ascending order and then find the middle number. For example :23, 24, 26, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 33 Solution here the middle number in this set is 28 because there are 4 numbers below it and 4 numbers above.

Mode The mode is the most common number in a set. For example : 21, 21, 21, 23, 24, 26, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 33 Solution As we know that it is most common no so The mode in this set of numbers is “21”
