2. Present Continuous adalah suatu bentuk kalimat yang menggambarkan suatu keadaan yang sedang berlangsung atau sedang dikerjakan pada masa saat ini . Bisa juga untuk membicarakan kejadian sekitar waktu pembicaraan , dan juga bisa untuk membicarakan rencana yang sudah pasti terjadi dalam waktu dekat .

3. Let’s Study! Materi sebelum ini , jikalau Simple Present fokusnya adalah kehidupan sehari-hari yang bisa dilakukan secara berulang-ulang . Maka materi hari ini untuk Present Continuous hanya untuk kejadian yang sedang dilakukan saja , itu artinya hanya sekali waktu terjadi . Kalimat Present Continuous memiliki 3 bentuk kalimat , sama halnya dengan Simple Present pada Chapter sebelumnya , yakni Kalimat Positif , Negatif , dan Pertanyaan . Dalam hal ini antara Simple Present dan Present Continous memiliki letak perbedaan dalam menggunakan VERB dan ADVERB OF TIME. INGET POLA KALIMAT : Rani is studying English right now . S + V + O + A Pola Kalimat S + V1/V1s/ es + O + A S + to be + V1+ing + O + A Example Rani studies English every day. Rani is studying English right now. S. Present P. Continuous Verb 1 to be+Verb1+ing

4. —me “ Simple Present fokusnya adalah penggunaan Verb 1 , Present Continuous fokusnya adalah penggunaan to be+Verb 1+ing . .” * Cek slide sebelum ini kalau belum paham maksud quotes slide ini .

Pasti pakai Verb 1 + ing To be/Auxiliary verb: - am : I - is : He/She /It and Singular - are : You/We/They and Plural Pasti pakai Aux. Verb/To be Memiliki ciri khas Adverb S + to be+ Ving +O+ A To be +S+ Ving +O+ A ? + - ? Adverb of time: now, right now, today, at the moment, this morning, this afternoon, tonight, today, this weekend, this month, this year, a few weeks

6. Example (+) I clean the window every morning. (-) I don’t clean the window every morning. (?) Do you clean the window every morning? Simple Present (+) I am cleaning the window right now. (-) I am not cleaning the window right now. (?) Are you cleaning the window right now?   Present Continuous Subjek I *PERHATIKAN PERUBAHAN SUBJEK DAN KATA KERJA

7. Example Simple Present Present Continuous Subjek SINGULAR *PERHATIKAN PERUBAHAN SUBJEK DAN KATA KERJA (+) Farah cleans the window every morning. (-) Farah doesn’t clean the window every morning. (?) Does Farah clean the window every morning? (+) Farah is cleaning the window this morning. (-) Farah is not cleaning the window this morning. (?) Is Farah cleaning the window this morning?

8. Example Simple Present Present Continuous Subjek PLURAL *PERHATIKAN PERUBAHAN SUBJEK DAN KATA KERJA (+) The children clean the window every morning. (-) The children don’t clean the window every morning. (?) Do t he children clean the window every morning? (+) The children are cleaning the window this morning. (-) The children are not cleaning the window this morning. (?) Are t he children cleaning the window this morning?

MENGUBAH KALIMAT SIMPLE PRESENT MENJADI PRESENT CONTINUOUS Jika kita ingin mengubah kalimat Simple Present menjadi kalimat Present Continuous, kita dapat melakukannya dengan mengubah Verb dan Adverb of time. S. Present = S + V1 + O + A P. Continuous =  S + To Be + Ving + O + A * Ket : Verb dan Adverb berubah .
