What are Check Sheet and Why to Use This is basic tool of Quality. Main use is to gather and organize the data (specially on real time basis). Generally, it is a blank form that is designed record data quickly and efficiently. This can work as Trigger Point for an in-depth analysis Data captured can be Quantitative or Qualitative. If Check Sheet if Holding Quantitative Data, it is also called as TALLY SHEET
Classification Such as defect or failure mode must be classified into a category. Location The physical location is indicated on a picture of a part. Frequency Number of occurrences of a trait on a part can be indicated. Measurement Scale Measurements are indicated by checking an appropriate interval.
