4. INTRODUCTION TO CHEMSKETCH This is an introduction to the program ChemSketch, from ACD Labs. You can use ChemSketch to draw chemical structures, and to view them as three dimensional (3D) models . It can be used to produce structures of organic molecules, names of organic molecules as well as Lewis structures, 3D structures, space filling models or ball and stick models, among other things.

5. INTRODUCTION TO CHEMSKETCH ACD/ChemSketch  is a molecular modeling program used to create and modify images of chemical structures. Also, there is a  software that allows molecules and molecular models displayed in two and three dimensions, to understand the structure of chemical bonds and the nature of the functional groups. At this point, you have a 2D structure on the screen in ChemSketch. You want to convert it to a 3D structure.

20. Features: The program offers some advanced features that allows the molecules  rotate and apply color to improve visualization. It has several templates with ions and functional groups with the possibility to add text and use other tools to optimize productions created by the software . You can select different arrows, including arrows suitable for equilibrium systems. You can write r eagents or conditions above the reaction arrow. You can change an acid to the anion of the acid showing a negative charge.

21. Features   Rings and templates: ChemSketch provides templates of several "complex" structures, allowing you to add these structures as a unit. Go to  Templates menu , and choose  Table of Radicals. (You can also reach this by pressing  F6. There is also a tool button for this feature. The template window has a folder called lab kit which contains 7 pages of diagrams of equipment. It also provides many ring structures to draw the compounds.

Similarities Chemdraw chemSketch • Chemdraw is a chemistry software which help us in many chemical structures. chemSketch is a chemistry software which help us in many chemical structures. • It can export the structures into PDF. • It can also export the structures into PDF. • It can give the properties of Saturation and Unsaturation. • It can give the physical properties of molecule such as boiling point, molecular weight and density etc.

28. Dis-Similarities Chemdraw ChemSketch It can convert the name of a molecule into its structure. It can’t convert the name of a molecule into its structure. It is developed by Cambridge soft power. It is developed by ACD/labs. It shows Logs and pKa value in chemical properties window. It does not show Logs and pka value in properties. Draw Clear reaction pattern with electron transfer mechanism and orbital mechanism. Only draw those structures which we draw by hand and don’t show electron transfer or orbital mechanism. It is useful for MOT,VBT & also for Hybridization. It is only for Lewis structures.

32. Conclusion: I have used ChemSketch. It is very useful in understanding chemistry structures. It is very useful to construct Lewis structures. We know the whole properties. Naming,3D view & all properties are shown by this .
