Types of Abuse This includes sexual activity towards or involving a child It is defined as non-accidental harm to a child This includes a pattern of behaviours that have a negative effect on a child’s psychological wellbeing e.g constant criticism This includes the failure to provide for a child’s basic needs despite being capable. In conclusion Every child deserves a life free from abuse, neglect, violence and exploitation. Experience has shown that this happens most often when the child is loved and cared for in a safe environment. All children strive in a safe family environment and no child is placed in harmful institution.
