DEFINITION OF WORDS Growth Is the process of physical maturation resulting in the increase in body size and various organs. It can be measured in kilograms, pounds, meters, inches, and etc. It is simply a quantitative change in individual’s body.
DEFINITION OF WORDS Development Is the process of functional, psychological, emotional and social maturation of the individual. It is the progressive increase in skill and capacity to function It is simply the qualitative change of the Individual.
DEFINITION OF WORDS QUANTITATIVE CHANGE These are c hanges in a person's physical characteristics, such as height, weight, and strength. QUALITATIVE CHANGE These are changes and growth of intelligence, creativity, sociability and morality.

Methods in measuring PHYSICAL GROWTH Height and weight - most commonly used indicators of physical growth. BMI ( Body Mass Index) - is a calculation based on height and weight, which helps determine whether a child is underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese.
Growth Chart - these chart shows the percentile range a child is in compared to others with the same age and gender. Physical milestone - measured through achievement of motor skills, like rolling over, walking, running, or fine motor skills like drawing and writing.
