CHINESE LITERATURE
Chinese literature has very ancient beginnings.
THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA The Great Wall of China was built over centuries by China’s emperors to protect their territory. Today, it stretches for thousands of miles along China’s historic northern border.
THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA The Great Wall of China is one of the most notorious structures in the entire world. The Jinshanling section in Hebei Province, China, pictured here, is only a small part of the wall that stretches over 4,000 kilometers (2,500 miles).
MONOSYLLABIC meaning: each word has only one syllable Syllable A syllable is a part of a word that contains a single vowel sound and that is pronounced as a unit.
POLYSYLLABIC meaning: having more than one and usually more than three syllables
TONAL LANGUAGE meaning: a l anguage where different words with different tonal inflections will convey different meanings . For example, a single word could be said with four different tones, and each of those tones will change the meaning of the word.

IDEOGRAPHS A symbol that represents an idea or a thing, rather than the sounds of a word.

Instead, the government or the whole community owns these things. Everyone is supposed to share the wealth that they create.
