Contexto Geográfico Este accidentado relieve permite que el territorio chino sea propicio para que haya diversidad climática y variedad de flora y fauna, aspectos que influyen directamente en las actividades humanas. La región donde se estableció la civilización china se caracteriza por tener un relieve bastante irregular . * Al occidente : existen diversos sistemas montañosos . * Al norte: varios desiertos . * Al sur: zonas selváticas . * Al centro : varias mesetas, valles, llanuras y depresiones.

El asentamiento de los primeros centros urbanos de la sociedad China se dió a lo largo del río Hoang - Ho o amarillo , y posteriormente en el yangtsé Kiang o Azul . Y al igual que las anteriores civilizaciones, estas condiciones permitieron el desarrollo de diferentes actividades económicas como la agricultura y el comercio.

Importancia de los rios. Las condiciones ambientales alrededor de los ríos Hoang – Ho y Yangtsé favorecieron la aparición y el desarrollo de la agricultura China y el crecimiento de una población sedentaria. Estos ríos de Gran longitud, atraviesan la totalidad de China de occidente a Oriente y desembocan en el mar de China oriental.

ORIGEN HISTÓRICO Las primeras sociedades sedentarias de China se concentraron alrededor del curso del Río Hoang-Ho o Amarillo, dónde surgieron las culturas Yangshao, Erlitou y Longshan cerca del año 5000 a.c Estas culturas se encontraban rodeadas por poblaciones nómadas que vivían del pastoreo, las cuales habitaban las estepas y los desiertos del Norte y el occidente de China. Estos pueblos efectuaron diversas invasiones a lo largo de la historia china . Estas culturas desarrollaron la escritura, el culto a ser es fantásticos parecidos a dragones y la realización de prácticas adivinatorias. Todas estas características ejercieron después una gran influencia en la civilización china.
