BARRIERS TO EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION Anything that prevents smooth dissemination or comprehension of a message either at the sender’s end or receivers end is a b arrier to communication.
TYPES OF COMMUNICATION BARRIERS INTRA PERSONAL BARRIERS: within your own control, Socio economic and cultural background. Workplace society development. INTER PERSONAL BARRIERS: due to individual own shortcomings, lack of trust, aggressive or disruptive message or lack of credibility. Incorrect medium etc. ENVIRONMENT BASED BARRIERS: noisy or non coductive communication climate, technological glitch.
FACTORS CAUSING BARRIERS LACK OF PLANNING LACK OF TRUST AMBIGYITY: difficulty in explaning or understanding. DISTORTIONS: twist or changes in facts or message so they are no longer correct.
