Climate, flora and fauna in Spain
There are five types of climate in Spain:
- Atlantic climate,(llamado también oceánico),
-Mediterranean climate: Continental climate (de interior)
Tipical and Dry (sureste de España),
-Subtropical climate,
-Mountain climate.
Mediterranean climate
Typical:
-In coastal areas.
-Temperatures: Mild in winters.
Hot in summers.
-Rainfall is irregular (most rain in autumn).
Dry: (No lo estudiamos como un clima en el libro).
-In the southeast of Spain.
-Temperatures are mild.
-Rainfall is light, especially in summers.
Mediterranean climate
Continental (de interior).
-On the Central Plateau and in the Ebro valley.
-Temperature: Summmers are hot.
Winters are cold.
-Rainfall is light.
Atlantic (Oceánico)
-On the Cantabrian coast and in Galicia.
-Temperature: Summers are cold.
Winters are mild.
-Rainfall is abundant.
-Flora: Many forests and meadows.
-Fauna: Foxes, wolves, wild boars, and deers.
Subtropical climate
-In the Canary Islands.
-Temperatures are mild all year.
-Rainfall is low.
-Flora: Dragon trees and tabaiba spurge.
-Fauna: Giant lizards and canaries.
Mountain climate
-In the highest mountain areas.
-Temperatures: Winters are very cold.
Summers are mild.
-Rainfall: It rains and snows a lot.
-Flora: Meadows and forests with fir trees.
-Fauna: Vultures and goats.
