Pricing woes for Cocofly Pricing has always been a major concern when Cocofly started to put its product on the shelf in market. Too expensive and its volume will decrease and too cheap and it will suffer in margin. Pricing alone will not be enough for Cocofly to gain market share in the beverage market however it’s still important in price sensitive market like in India. India isn’t the major consumer of packaged coconut drink due to abundance of coconut supply from South Indian states. Coconut has the shelf life of 3-5 months in its natural shell which makes the distribution easy within India.

Packaging and price Majority of beverage market in India is filled with 150-200 ml packages that is priced between Rs. 10 to Rs. 20. This is the price point where the consumers can affordably spend regularly and this involves companies such as Frooti, Appy Fizz, etc. Some premium small packaging drinks are Real Juice, Tropicana, etc that sells for Rs. 30 to Rs. 40 which is ideal pricing and the market that can be captured by Cocofly.
