4. FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT 1. FIRE PANEL The panel receives information from devices designed to detect and report fires, monitors their operational integrity, and provides for automatic control of equipment, and transmission of information necessary to prepare the facility for fire based on a predetermined sequence. FIRE SPRINKLER A fire sprinkler system is a type of automatic extinguishing system (AES) that  prevents fire growth and spread by releasing water through a series of sprinkler heads connected to a distribution piping system .
