COLOR AND TEMPERATURE OF STARS

COLOR AND TEMPERATURE OF STARS Stars appear to be exclusively white at first glance. But if we look carefully, we can notice a range of colors: blue, white, red, and even gold or yellow.

You can tell the approximate temperature of a star by looking at its color. The coolest stars are red, then orange, then yellow (like our Sun). Even hotter stars are white and then the hottest stars are blue!
