BACK REST Support patient’s back at an angle , so th a t he may maintain a s i tting pos iti o n. Can be adjusted to desired angle. Extra pillows are needed. Arms of patient are well supported. U s e d for pt s s uff e r i n g with ca r d i ac & pulmonary distress.

BED CRADLE I t is a frame used to hold the be d l i nen from touching the pt. Cradl e is a semicircular / rec t angular frame of metal. May be made of wood or bamboo. PURPOSES: T o prev e n t pr e ssure from the weight of linen. T o a llow a i r to circul a te a round l o wer limb s .

CARDIAC TABLE Bed table p la c e d in front with a p i l low on it, patient can lean forward & take rest. Tabl e witho u t p i l low is used for wri t i n g & meals. Use d for p ts with c ardiac con ditio n s & asthma. Position should be changed to relieve fatigue. PURPOSES: Patie n t can rest over the table with the help of pillow. Helps to take meals & in writing.
