COMPARATIVE METHOD Presented By: Dr. TRIPTI SHARMA

INTRODUCTION Comparative research is a research methodology in the social sciences that aims to make comparisons across different countries or cultures. It provides us with some rules of comparative research.

MEANING The comparative method, using comparisons across species that have evolved independently, is an effective means for studying historical and physical constraints.

DEFINITION Comparative research is a research methodology in the social sciences that aims to make comparisons across different countries or cultures.

COMPARATIVE & HISTORICAL METHOD Comparative historical research is a method of social science that examines historical  events in order to create explanations that are valid beyond a particular time and place, either by direct comparison to other historical events, theory building, or reference to the present day.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS Comparative analysis accounting identifies an organization's financial performance. For example, income statements identify financial comparables such as company income, expenses, and profit over a period of time. A  comparison analysis report identifies where a business meets or exceeds budgets.

COMPARATIVE ESSAY Start with a general point that establishes the similarity between the two subjects, then move to the specific focus of the  essay. At the end of the introduction, write a thesis statement that first announces which aspects of each subject you plan to compare and then states what conclusion researcher have drawn from them . A comparative essay asks that a researcher compare at least two (possibly more) items. These items will differ depending on the assignment. Researcher might be asked to compare. positions on an issue

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS A comparative analysis compares two or more things: “two texts, two theories, two historical. figures, two scientific processes, and so on” (Walk, 1998 ). A  comparative analysis requires researcher to make an argument.
