PHILIPPINES The P hilippines takes it name from Philip II, who has king of Spain during the spanish colonization of the islands in the 16 th century. Philippines was U.S colony from 1899- 1946. SOUTH KOREA The republic of South K orea was formally established with Syngman Rhee as the first president. With the establishment of Rhee’s government. South K orea was under Japanese rule from 1910- 1945.

POLICE TRAINING

PHILIPPINES The training of our nation's police officers has been greatly aided by the Philippine National Police Training Institute (PNPTI). Its lengthy history can be traced back to 1905, four years after the Americans formally founded the Philippine Constabulary with the aim of upholding the law and preserving peace and order in the country . SOUTH KOREA The Police command course consists of the Guardian Program, which is a  six-month  program to train police leaders through duties, professional interpersonal skill, general education, foreign language, IT education, study abroad, country pilgrimage, and scene experience-study.

PHILIPPINES The Philippines Criminal Justice System composed of five parts of pillars namely Law enforcement, Prosecution, Court, Correction, Community. The Law enforcement consists of the officers and men of the (PNP) Philippine National Police. SOUTH KOREA South korea is a centralized nation-state with a tripartite system of government consisting of administration, legislation and judicature. There are no localized criminal justice systems and thus the entire criminal justice system, such as prosecution, courts and prisons, is the responsibility of the central government.

PHILIPPINES Spanish colonial period has the best policing system in the Philippines. The first organized bodies of police in the Philippines date back to the Spanish colonial period, with the Royal Decree in 1852 establishing the first Organized bodies of police along the militarized lines of the Spanish Guardia Civil. SOUTH KOREA The police system has 12 functional divisions, 4 levels of different police organizations ranging from the National Police Headquarters to the police substation or police detachment, and 10 police ranks. In addition, the system has a maritime unit, a combat unit, and an aircraft unit.

SOUTH KOREA The Korean National Police Agency (KNPA), also known as the Korean National Police (KNP ),is one of the national police organizations in South Korea. The spiritual origins of Korean Police organization date to the Police Department of Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea .

CRIME IN PHILIPPINES Crime  is present in various forms in the  Philippines , and remains a serious issue throughout the country.  Illegal drug trade, human trafficking ,  arms trafficking,   murder ,  corruption,  and domestic violence remain significant concerns. The Philippines has a high rate of murder cases, which is the highest in Southeast Asia as of 2014. Most major cities are plagued with high prevalence of crimes.

CRIME IN SOUTH KOREA Crime in South Korea is one of the lowest in the world . Although South Korea has a lower crime rate than other industrialized countries ,  the crime rate in 2007 was around 2.9 times higher than in 1978, with the total number of crimes committed rising from 513,165 to 1,965,577.On occasion, sudden changes in circumstance have led to cause short-term fluctuations in the crime rate.

The most frequently used type of punishment is a fine followed by imprisonment and penal servitude .
