Comparatives and Superlatives By. Teacher Diana
ADJECTIVES WHAT ARE...?
adjectives Adjectives are the words that describe objects, people, animals, things, concepts, places, etc. Adjectives give us information about quantity and quality of these words (nouns).
attention
We can use adjectives in two forms: Comparative: When we compare two nouns (objects, people, animals, things, concepts, places, etc.) Superlative: When we compare only one noun (objects, people, animals, things, concepts, places) with every other member of their group
To form comparative and superlative adjectives we need to follow some rules. Remember to use “ than ” when you use an adjective in comparative form, “ the ” for superlative form and “ as …. as ” for two nouns that are equal .
