MESOPOTAMIA TOWN PLANNING Built around distinct palaces &temples that were dedicated to patron gods/ goddesses . Most of the people lived in cities & towns. They had walls to protect their cities. INDUS VALLEY TOWN PLANNING They were built to east of citadel. Towns were planned more systematically & in grid pattern The people lived in small villages. They had wall to protect their houses DIFFERENCES

Similarities Houses were made of sundried bricks in both In both civilizations arrow was used and tools were made commonly of Bronze. Economy depended mostly on agriculture & trade. Also traded with each other & had Boats . Both grew barley, wheat , dates , figs , peas. Prayers , rituals, pottery were common in both Irrigation system , writing system, wheeled vehicles were used by both . They both had religious hymns for ceremonies
