REGIONAL DISPARITIES Regional Imbalances or Disparities mans wide differences in Per Capita Income, Literacy Rates, Health & Education Services, Levels of Industrialization, Infrastructural Facilities etc. between different regions. Regions may be either states or regions within a state.
11 th Five Year Plan ( 2007 – 2012 ) Reduce total fertility rate to 2.1. Poverty reduction. It aimed to increase the enrolment in higher education of 18 - 23 years of age group by 2011 – 2012. To increase the growth rate in agriculture, industry and services to 4%, 10% & 9% respectively. Empowerment through education and skill development. Provide clean drinking water for all by 2009. To achieve the growth rate of 8%.

Comparison Between 10 th & 11 th Five Year Plan Fertility rate- the no. of children who would be born per woman ( or per 1000 woman ). In 2007, fertility rate of India was 2.7 and after implemented 5 yr. plan its was 2.4 in 2012. fertility rate was decreased somehow by 15% but not the plan was totally achieved to 2.1. Poverty- is the scarcity or the lack of a certain (variant) amount of material possessions or money. According to Tendulkar poverty estimates in India the population below the poverty line in 2006-2007 was 354 million (29.6% of the population) and that in 2011-2012 was 269 million (21.9% of the population)
Comparison Between 10 th & 11 th Five Year Plan Growth Rate- is the rate at which a nation's Gross Domestic product (GDP) changes/grows from one year to another. In India, the average growth rate is 7 . 7 in 10 th year plan and in 11 th year plan its targeted growth rate was 9, it achieved 8.8 average growth rate in 11 th year plan.

Comparison Between 11 th & 12 th Five Year Plan In 12 th plan one of the objective of govt. was to provide electricity to all villages, most of the states in India have the 100% electricity but very few of the villages have not the electricity are, Nagaland , Manipur, Meghalaya. Gross Enrollment Ratio ( GER ) or Gross Enrollment Index ( GEI ) is a statistical measure used in the education sector, to determine the number of students enrolled in school at several different grade levels (like elementary, middle school and high school).In India, GER is increased from 31.03 in 2007 to 60.45 in 2017
