SOFTWARE Organized collection of computer data and instruction that the computer carries out. Photo credits to: https:// www.tutorialspoint.com/computer_fundamentals/images/computer_hardware.jpg
COMPUTER HARDWARE Divided into 3 parts which is. Input device Output device P r o c es s i ng d e v i c e
COMPUTER HARDWARE INPUT DEVICES (peripheral) - A n y p i e c e o f c o m p u t e r h a r d w a r e equipment that provide data information to the computer system.
COMPUTER HARDWARE OUTPUT DEVICE - any piece of computer hardware equipment used to display result of data processing carried out by the computer system.
COMPUTER HARDWARE PROCESS DEVICE - the system device that process all the i n f o r m a t i o n . I t i s p o w e r e d b y C P U ( C e n t r a l Processing Unit) which serves as the brain o f t h e d e v i c e / c o m p u t e r s y s t e m .
Central Processing Unit is comprised into three parts: Control Unit Main Memory (Register) Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU)

MOTHERBOARD Circuit board that contains the electrical circuitry for the computer. All computer c o m p o n e n t s / p a r t s o f t h e c o m p u t e r a r e connected to the motherboard.
CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT (CPU) Computer processor is the one that holds and process data and instruction in the computer. Also known as the brain of the computer.

DISK DRIVE a technology that enables reading, writing, deleting and modifying of data on a storage disk.
EXAMPLES OF DISK DRIVE HARD DISK DRIVE (HDD) The main data storage inside your computer. Operating system, application software and m o st c o mm o n f il e s a re s t o r e d i n s i d e t h e ha rd disk drive. There are two types of Hard Disk Drive. IDE (Old HDD that uses pins) S A T A ( N e w T e c h n o l o g y H D D t ha t u s e s s l o t ) SATA IDE
EXAMPLES OF DISK DRIVE CD/DVD DRIVE Disk drive use to store, read, write and modify d a t a i n a c o m pa ct d i sc. T h e re a re t w o t y p e s o f CD/DVD Drive ROM (Read Only) – Use to store and read data only. R W ( R e w r i t a b l e ) - U se t o s t o r e, r e a d , w r i t e and modify data.
EXAMPLES OF DISK DRIVE FLOPPY DISK DRIVE (FDD) Disk drive use to store, read, write and modify d a t a i n t o a F l o pp y d i sk e tt e .
RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RAM) Temporarily stores data and instruction given by the user.
TYPES OF RAM S y nc h r o n o u s D y n a m i c R a n d o m A cc e s s M e m o r y SDRAM Do u b l e Data Rate Ra n d o m A cc es s M e m o r y DDR2, DDR3, DDR4
