Working with Windows is very easy. You can open and work on programs at the same time. When you open two to three programs and work on them simultaneously, we call that multitasking . If several programs are opened, you can view and arrange them on the Desktop. It is just like organizing your things such as your books, pens, papers, and other school materials in your bag. MICROSOFT WORD WINDOW
Application Icon – each program has an application icon that represents what program is running. Quick Access Toolbar – it contains a set of commonly used commands for easy access. Title bar – located on top of the Window, it tells you the name of the program that you are using. Control buttons – it contains (Minimize button, Restore Down button, Maximize button, and Close button) that control the window’s appearance.
Each Tab has a set of tasks that is organized in Groups , and each group has commands according to its task. The name of the group is displayed at the middle bottom. Groups are placed together in the Ribbon at the top section of the screen below the Tabs. MICROSOFT WORD WINDOW

Moving and Resizing a Window To Move an Application on the Desktop. Click, then hold and drag the title bar and move the window to the desired area on the desktop. Release the mouse when done.
Moving and Resizing a Window To Move an Application on the Desktop. Hover the mouse pointer to the edge in any part of the window, wait until the mouse pointer turns into a double-headed arrow . Resize the window using the click-drag mouse method.

Computer files are collections of information you saved in your computer. Computer files need to be organized for you to easily find when you need them the most. Files on the computer can also be organized and stored systematically by using different folders which are called an electronic library .
Creating a Folder Using the Right-click Method Right-click your mouse. Click New , then click Folder . Type the file name that you want on the folder.
Creating a Folder Using the Home Tab Double-click the folder you created. Click the Home tab . On New group, click New Folder . Type the name that you want, then press Enter .
Renaming a Folder Using the Right-click Method and the Home Tab Right-click the folder you want to rename, then choose Rename . Type the new name then press Enter . Using the Home tab , click the folder you want to rename then click the Home tab. Click Rename , then type the new name.
Looking for Files and Folders Open your folder. In the navigation pane, click Quick Access then the Search box . On the Search box, type in the file name that you are looking for, then double-click the file to open.
Copying a File or a Folder Using the Home Tab Click the file you want to copy. In the Home tab , click Copy , then choose the location where you want to copy your file and choose Paste .
Copying a File or a Folder Using the Right-click Method Right-click your mouse pointing to the file you want to copy then choose Copy . Open the folder where you want the to be copied, then right-click the mouse and choose Paste .
Moving Files and Folders Using the Home Tab Select the file or folder you want to move. On the Home tab, click Move to. It will show you a list of locations where you can move your selected file. Click the location where you want to move your file.
Moving Files and Folders Using the Drag and Drop Method Click the file you want to move, then move the file to its new location using the mouse drag-and-drop technique.
Moving a file is different from copying. Moving a file means to transfer your file into a different location or folder. Copying a file means to make a duplicate copy of a file in a different folder or directory.
