Acharya Vagbhata mentions the concept of KRIYAKALA in Ash.Su.Doshabedhiya adhyaya. This chapters explains us about the seats of those doshas (in un-vitiated state). The later chapter is Doshopakramaneeya , which explains about the upakramas of each dosha, dosha sanchara etc.. which are the treatment principles. For the dosha to move from un-vitiated state to vitiated state, there will be a specific cause. And to treat those vitiated dosha and to bring them into normalcy, we must know about the stage in which dosha is? Hence, this may be the reason behind the explanation of KRIYAKALA in this chapter.
