CONDITIONAL SENTENCE And Wishes GROUP 11

DEFINITION The sentence used to a hope, supposition, regret might occur in the future or Contrary to the right now. Say that the fact is usually different from the conditional sence .

TYPE OF CONDITIONAL SENTENCE : Conditional Sentence Type I : It is possible and also very likely that the condition will be fulfilled. Conditional sentence have 3 type : If + Simple Present + Simple Future Example : If I have much money, I will buy a new car Fact : - I don’t have much money so I cannot buy a new car

If + Simple Present + Simple Present Example : If I my father give me money, I go to school Fact : - My father not give me money so I don’t go to school

If + Simple Present + Command Example : If you go to school, study hard !

Conditional Sentence Type II : It is possible but very unlikely that the condition will be fulfilled. Example : If you visited me yesterday, I would give you money Fact : - You don’t visit me so I do not give you money If + Simple Past + Simple Past Future

Note : If you use nominal sentence , so you must use to be “ were ” for all “ subject ”. Example : If I were you, I would not let her go Fact : - I’m not you so I will let her go

Conditional Sentence Type III : It is impossible that the condition be fulfilled because it refers to the past. Example : If I had slept, I would have dreamt about you Fact : - I didn’t sleep so I didn’t dream about you If + Past Perfect + Past Future Perfect

Wishes

DEFINITION The sentence used to expressed a desire that is expected to happen but contrary to the right now.

Wish is used when the speaker wants reality to be different, to exactly the opposite Type of Wish : Example : - I wish , I became president Fact : - I don’t become president ( Simple Present ) - Wish to Present Wish + Simple Past

Example : - I wish , I had become president Fact : - I did not become president ( Simple Past) - Wish to Past Wish + Past Perfect

If you use nominal sentence in the past , so you must use to be “ were ” for all “subject ” Example : I wish, she were healthy Fact : - She is not healthy NOTE
