Condoleezza Rice

Early Life Born November 14, 1954, Birmingham Alabama, U.S. An only child. Her parents were Angelina Rice, a school teacher. Also John Wesley Rice Jr., a high school guidance counselor and a Presbyterian Minister. Raised in Denver, Colorado. Attended Private Catholic school.

Important Schoolwork Condoleezza was a bright student and also very athletic. Was the first woman and African American to serve as a Provost of Stanford University. Earned her Bachelors degree in political Science from the University of Denver in 1984. She got her masters from Notre Dame in 1975. She studied for her PhD from the University of Denver’s graduate school of international studies in 1981.

Challenging Adversity Was appointed the National Security Advisor by George W. Bush, she was the first African American and second woman to have this position.

Conclusion of Condoleeza Rice really wanted to prove her self to everybody. By challenging men and becoming the first women Secretary of State, she not only sowed that she could do her job, but women could too.
