Minute To Read
Once upon a time, there lived a shepherd boy who was bored watching his flock of sheep on the hill. To amuse himself, he shouted, “Wolf! Wolf! The sheep are being chased by the wolf!” The villagers came running to help the boy and save the sheep. They found nothing and the boy just laughed looking at their angry faces.
“Don’t cry ‘wolf’ when there’s no wolf boy!”, they said angrily and left. The boy just laughed at them. After a while, he got bored and cried ‘wolf!’ again, fooling the villagers a second time. The angry villagers warned the boy a second time and left. The boy continued watching the flock. After a while, he saw a real wolf and cried loudly, “Wolf! Please help! The wolf is chasing the sheep. Help!”
But this time, no one turned up to help. By evening, when the boy didn’t return home, the villagers wondered what happened to him and went up to the hill. The boy sat on the hill weeping. “Why didn’t you come when I called out that there was a wolf?” he asked angrily. “The flock is scattered now”, he said.
An old villager approached him and said, “ People won’t believe liars even when they tell the truth. We’ll look for your sheep tomorrow morning. Let’s go home now”.
Moral: Lying breaks trust. Nobody trusts a liar, even when he is telling the truth.

CONSTELLATIONS
Learning Objectives Define constellation operationally; Recognize star patterns in the sky; and Trace some common star patterns.
MAKE YOUR OWN CONSTELLATION Materials: - Dry beans. - Black cartolina . - A white pen or crayon.
MAKE YOUR OWN CONSTELLATION GROUP 1 – ANTLIA GROUP GROUP 2 – DORADO GROUP GROUP 3 – COLUMBA GROUP GROUP 4 – URSA MINOR GROUP
MAKE YOUR OWN CONSTELLATION Procedures: Sprinkle the 10 beans across the dark paper. These will be the “stars” of your night sky. 2. Use chalk to circle the “beans/stars” that will make up a constellation. Can you imagine them making a picture?
MAKE YOUR OWN CONSTELLATION Procedures: 3. Connect the circles with lines to show each constellation. What is it? Can you give your constellation a name? 4. Use more lines to further make the constellations look like what they represent. You can even remove the beans, or “stars,” to make an entirely new night sky!
GUIDE QUESTIONS Were you able to trace a star pattern? How? How did your star pattern differ from the known constellations? How were they similar? Based from your activity, what is a constellation?

12 ZODIAC SIGNS Constellation Tradition
12 ZODIAC SIGNS The term zodiac derives from Latin zōdiacus , which in its turn comes from the Greek zōdiakos kuklos , meaning 'circle of animal'. The zodiac can be traced back to ancient civilizations, such as the ancient Greeks and Romans, who believed the position of heavenly bodies could be used to predict the future.
Aries - the Ram Taurus - the Bull Cancer - the Crab Leo - the Lion Scorpius - the Scorpion Capricornus - the Goat Pisces - the Fish Gemini - the Twins Aquarius – the water – bearer Sagittarius – the half human and half horse Libra – the scales Virgo – the maiden
Aries - March 21-April 19 - Forced to discover and defend a self-construct independent of anyone else. Taurus - April 20-May 20 - They need to feel rooted and secure so they can enjoy their sensual nature. Gemini - May 21-June 20 - They value communication . Cancer - June 21-July 22 - Cancer needs to feel at-home within the self — safe, secure, and cocooned. Leo - July 23-August 22 - L ikes to take center stage for appreciation and applause," Virgo - August 23-September 22 - S elfless servants of the zodiac, outworking everyone else to achieve harmony within. Libra - September 23-October 22 - Partnership is balance to a Libra. Scorpio - October 23-November 21- V alues simple, innocent pleasures, which allow them to exchange emotional resources, like love and care, with others Sagittarius – November 22-December 21 - You like your adventures, Sag, and nothing's holding you back. Capricorn – December 22-January 19 - T hey cautiously take steps up the mountain, toward their ambitions and away from their foundation, Aquarius – Jan 20-Feb 18 - N eeds to be free to innovate and serve humanity. Pisces – Feb 19-March 20 - M ost evolved and spiritualized.
Are all stars part of a constellation? Do we need an instrument or device to view the constellation?
Those little dots with different colors and brightness make you stare at them - the biggest ocean of universe. People used to gaze at the wonder of space every day, fascinated by the one place they couldn't go. Some people believe that their ancestors were the stars that bloomed every night, looking after them from the unfathomable heavens.
The ancient civilizations who invented the constellations, that is to say put shape, names and stories to them, formed several geometric star patterns. The most obvious is the Great Square of Pegasus. The Great Square is already in the evening sky at sundown.
Another strictly geometric constellation is Triangulum , an isosceles triangle found below the Great Square, on the back of the constellation Aries the Ram,below Andromeda and to the east of Perseus and the Gorgon’s head.
Overall, there are 88 constellations recognized by International Astronomical Union and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

“Is it possible to find all 88 constellations in the sky in one night?” Sadly, no observer on Earth can see all 88 constellations at once. Which star patterns one can spot at any given night depends on the time, season, the stargazer’s latitude and, obviously, the observational conditions.
Wherever you are on Earth, many stars and constellations always remain hidden from your view by the planet itself. Moreover, because of the Earth’s being in constant motion, your local sky changes both overnight and season to season. But it’s not the shape of the constellations that changes, no, the distances between the stars in one pattern and their mutual positions always* remain the same, but their orientation and location in the sky!
Each group will model a constellation with the use of your body as a star and a string. In addition, one representative of the group will give at least 1-2 sentence description of the constellation. GROUP ACTIVITY

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS Ancient people use constellation on determining season on when to sow and harvest (calendar was not yet invented). It is use in navigational purposes. Polaris (North Star) is widely used in navigation because it does not change its location anytime of the month or year.
Why do stars and constellations seem to move or change its position in the sky at night? Because of the Earth’s rotation on its axis.
What is Constellation? What are constellations used for?
