Pio Valenzuela’s Controversial “Cry of Pugad Lawin ”
Dr. Pio Valenzuela born on July 11, 1896 He claimed to be the eyewitness of the event.
In his first version – August 26, 1896, The first cry was in Balintawak Later, with fading memory he wrote in his memoirs that the cry took place at Pugad Lawin on August 23, 1896.

August 22, 1896 There were 500 members of the Katipunan met in the house and yard of Apolonio Samson.
