Introduction Cryptologue is an Android application that provides a secure chat platform and incorporates group polling to help plan events, etc. Chat rooms are initiated when a user creates one and invitations are sent to other users. Users can partake in messaging, polling and event managing. One highlight feature of Cryptologue is the ability to send encrypted message(s) to the chat room where only selected user(s) can decrypt the message (Social encryption). Cryptologue is intended to provide a secure group communication channel while adding social features to help engage the chatter. Encryption Encryption is the process of encoding a message so that only authorized person(s) can access this information. All messages sent via Cryptologue are securely encrypted. A message sender can optionally use the “@” symbol to target specific user(s) within the chatroom. When the message is sent, it will be encrypted; the generated ciphertext is only decryptable by the targeted user(s) in the chatroom. The rest of the users within the chatroom will only see the ciphertext. Features Group chats with an unlimited number of users End-to-end message encryption Targeted message encryption In chat event planning In chat user polling Invite friends with their existing phone numbers Event Planning/Polling The user just needs to be established in a chatroom to create or participate in an Event or Poll. For the Event Planning, a user will fill out a description and date for their event. The users within the chatroom are notified that a new event has been created and is ready for them to select an attendance status. For the Polling, a user will create a topic title, add a couple choices and a resulting poll will display for all users in the chat room to vote and view the results.
