The CSSM Credential The CSSM certification/recertification process was designed to be fundamentally different than the CNOR process CSSM is conceptualized as a mechanism to facilitate your ongoing professional development and lifelong learning Your professional development plan will address your knowledge levels as identified by your initial certification examination scores This certification method was developed in response to the direction provided by our accreditation providers
Recertification Options Weblink: http://www.cc-institute.org/cssm/cssm-recertification There are just two choices for recertification 1. Take the certification exam again 2. The Professional Development Points Method Pre-planning is necessary The Professional Development Points Methods derives from the score on the CSSM certification examination. No one can recertify by doing only CE

Once your CSSM recertification points activities are approved, you will receive an email with instructions on scheduling the CSSM Recertification Self-Assessment. Assessments are scheduled at the Prometric Testing Center Assessments are conducted under the same security measures as the certification exam.
Step 4 - Schedule and Take the CSSM Recertification Self-Assessment The Self-Assessment is not an exam It is not Pass/Fail Assessment results will set your next recertification plan. There is nothing you need to do to prepare for the assessment There is no charge for the assessment. You must complete the assessment by December 15, 2018 . Failure to take the assessment by 12/15/18 will result in forfeiture of your CSSM credential.
Step 5 - Submit Recertification Fee After you have taken your CSSM Recertification Self-Assessment, log in to your CCI account to access your recertification application and make payment. You will not be able to pay or renew your credential until you have taken your CSSM Recertification Self-Assessment. Pay your recertification fee by December 31, 2018.
