SHAPES
2D & 3D Shapes
Formulae solids (3D) Rectangular Room/ Box :- If the dimensions of a room are L , B and H , then the volume of air inside the room is L×B×H cu unit. Marble Balls :- it is a solid spherical shape. If its radius is r, then volume is 4/3 π r 3 . Cubical Dice :- 3d object, have all sides equal. If its dimension is a , then the volume is a 3 . Cylindrical Glass :- it is a pattern of hollow cylindrical shape. Volume of liquid in the glass is π r 2 h cu unit. Conical cape :- birthday cap or magician cap. If its base r , height h , then the volume is 1/3 π r 2 h cu unit.
Geometry Point :- a point has neither length nor width. It has neither area nor volume. Every curve is made up of a set of points. Centre of a circle is point. Line :- collection of points that extends forever without ends. Line Segment :- part of line. It has two end point and of definite length. Intersecting Lines :- two lines having same point called intersecting lines. Parallel Lines :- two lines in a plane which do not intersect anywhere, called parallel line.
Angles :- an angle is made by two line segment with a common en point. Classification of Angles
Triangle :- A closed figure which has three sides, three angles and three vertices is called the triangle. Types of triangle
Quadrilateral :- A figure which is formed by joining any four non-collinear point is called quadrilateral. The sum of all angles of quadrilateral is 360. Types of Quadrilateral
