11. FERNAND LEGER - he used mechanistic images as basis of his artwork. He was infatuated with modernity and machinery and its powerful potential. His outstanding artwork was MECHANICAL ELEMENTS , where he portrayed screws, cylinders, and gear of an imaginary mechanical world by assertive horizontal and vertical elements.
