body,ithasweakerglideperformance.Pleasekeeptheseinmindwhenusingthem.

computing.
MaxIASinlowaltitudeis1300km/h(702kts),butyoumayexceedthisspeedinthegame.
Intherealworld,planewillhaveaeroelasticproblemoverthisspeed.Inthegame,your
accelerationwillbeveryslowwhenabovethisspeed.
Inhighaltitude,plane’smaxMachnumberisM1.6,butyoualsomayexceedthisspeedin
thegame.Intherealworld,thelimitationiscomefromplane’sstabilityandaerodynamicheating.
Ofcourse,wewon’tletyougomuchfasterthanthis.
9.1.2AoAandG
Whentakeoffandlanding,keepAoAwithin12°,ifplanecarrieslargepayload(GBU-12or
800Ltank)incenterpylon,keepAoAwithin10°.
AtAAconfiguration,maxAoAis27°,maxGis8G,whenoverM0.85,maxGreduceto6.5G.
Beawareyourspeedwhenenterdogfight.

Asyoumayalreadyknow,negativeGtanksisnotbig.Badthingwillhappenifyoukeepthe
afterburnerover5secondsormilpowerover12secondsinnegativeorzeroGcondition.
9.1.4Emergency
JF-17doesn’thaveanEPU(likeF-16)topowertheplanewhenengineflameout.Butithas
plentyofbatteryandhydraulicaccumulator.Batterycansupportavionicsandnavigationsystem
forabout10minutes,hydraulicsystemcanalsosupportyoutillyouland(ifyoucan...).
Ofcourse,ECScanonlyuseramairwhenengineisflameout.Youhavetomanuallychange
ECS’smode.Topreventhypothermiaorsuffocation,descendASAP.
9.2WeaponLimits
GoodnewsistherearenolimitsforA2Amissilesandallpods.
ButforA2Gweapon,heavierweaponsaremorelikelytodamagetheirpyloninhighG
situation.Whenpylonisdamaged,youwon’tbeabletolaunchorevenjettisonthepayload.Ask
groundcrewtorepairitafterlanding.
Onemorethingyouneedtobenoticedwhenrequestrepairingistoturnofthezeroize
functionoftheejectionseat.Wesimulatedejectionseat’szeroizationfunction:ifenabled,when
ejectedorseatremoved,AllIFF,COMM,RWRandDTCdatawillbedestroyed.Andinoursetting,
duringtherepairingtheejectionseatwillberemoved.PleaseputSEATFUNCTIONswitchto
DISABLEpriortorepairotherwisethedatawementionedabovewillbedeleted.ZEROIZERbutton
locatesontherightsideoftheZCPpanel,itcanmanuallydeleteallsensitivedata.Forinstanceif
youhavetolandatenemyairport,youcanopentheprotectcoverandpresstheZEROIZER
button.

C-701isanexception.Althoughit’sverylight,buthighGwillmorelikelytodamagethe
missileratherthanthepylon.Becarefulwhencarryingit.
ForallA2Gweaponsandexternaltanks,thereareG,speedandattitudelimitsfor
deploy/jettison,ifyoucan’tlaunch/jettisonyourA2Gweaponevenlaunchconditionissatisfied,
maybeyourspeed/G/attitudeareoverlimit.
Thelastpainpointisthe23-2cannon,thisthingcaneasilygetjammed.Whenfiredtoo
muchammoinashortperiodoftime,thisancientcannonmaygetstuck.Ifjamhappened,click
MFD’sFEEDbuttontoreloadthegun.
