2. Deer Deer are the hoofed ruminant mammals belonging the family “ Cervidae ”. The 2 main groups are the “ Cervinae ” and “ Capreolinai ”.

4. Characteristics Lifespan: Moose: 15-25yrs: elk: 10-13 yrs Speed: Reindeer: 60-80 km/h; white tailed deer: 48km/h Feeding: Green grass, apples, backberries etc. Location: Hardwoods, coniferous and tropical forests.

Morphology and Behavior Colour : Tan/brown/grayish brown Antlers: All males but only reindeer family female has antlers Weight: 150-300 pounds in males 90-200 pounds in female Behavior: Superior senses and long olfactory system. 60 times as many olfactory sensors than humans. Vocal sound: Bleat, snort/wheeze

7. Difference Between Male and Female Buck has antlers but absent in does Buck has a shorter snout foreneck where's, buck has more of a flat shaped head between ears
