Project Charter Elements Elements Role Charter Case To reduce the failure occurring at Testing stage, aiming to get improved yield in Model RAC Problem / Opportunity Statement Failure at 19% rate found at Testing stages of RAC V2.9 cards in the month of February. Out of total defects 60% defects are related with soldering issue. Thus, defects are creating huge pending in TRC area impacting output, decreasing yield, and increasing wastage. Goals / Projected Benefits To reduce the soldering defects generated in SMT/MI during production to increase the yield and reduction in process waste. Goal Statement The goal of this project is define, measure, analyze, and minimize the process issue that contributes up to 60% out of total defects.
