Causes of Deforestation: (1) Natural Causes of deforestation include wildfires, hurricanes, droughts, invasive species, tree diseases, and parasites. (2) Man-Made causes of deforestation include logging, agriculture, livestock farming, wood plantations, energy and mining activities, and urbanization. Effects of Deforestation include: (1) Biodiversity Loss: Animals lose their habitat and are unable to survive. (2) Soil Degradation: Loss of trees to fertilize the soil.
