Deforestation and Afforestation ROLL NO:14311A05H3
WHAT IS DEFORESTATION…? Deforestation is the removal of forests or stand of trees where the land is then converted into non-forest use. Ex:- Conversion of forest land into farms , ranches or urban use.
CAUSES AND EFFECTS: CAUSES: Agricultural Activities Urbanization Desertification of land Forest fires EFFECTS: Climate imbalance Soil erosion Floods Increase in global warming
WAYS TO CONTROL DEFORESTATION : AFFORESTATION. Clear cutting of forests must be banned. Reforestation.
WHAT IS AFFORESTATION…? Afforestation is the process of establishment of forest where there was no forest. It is done by planting trees or sowing their seeds and caring continually until the trees grow collectively as a whole into a forest.
WHAT IS THE NEED OF AFFORESTATION…? As the deforestation and global environmental issues due to industrialization are growing more seriously, there is an urgent need for the mankind to resolve them. So we need afforestation .
ADVANTAGES OF AFFORESTATION With the increasing demand for wood fuels and building materials, afforestation process helps to meet these demands without cutting down the natural forests. Planting of trees in semi-arid areas attracts rainfall.
CONCLUSION “ Save trees , Save L ives Green Environment, Clean Environment Save trees , Save Earth”
