2. Lack of time together and privacy: By having joint family system , the higher demerit is lacking of privacy , which leads to many personal issues .

3. Friction Between Spouse & Siblings: Due to the joint family system there is always fight between a married couple , siblings and descends .Therefore, it is hard maintaining privacy indivual.

4. Compromised with your aims and choices : Due to the joint family system there is always restriction for your child’s ambitions and the choices of their lives.

5. Family quarrels creates crashes: Breakdown of joint family system leads to conflicts and quarrels among the family members, conflicts regarding properties , income and the un-equal distribution create the separation and break-up of joint family.

6. Decrease freedom to express: In a joint household, a couple always has to be mindful about being watched .

7. Disagreement on finance and on land: Contribution while running household , and how the money should be equally spent is a major issue. The biggest demerit is because of the head of family who control the fund and decide how the money will be spent.

9. Growth in selfish environment: In a joint family system , the children grow in selfish environment by looking at their parent’s deeds like how they selfishly behave their elders just their beneficial acts.

11. Riots of the families in paying bills: There is always a quarrel between paying of electric bills which leads to the biggest disasters in a joint family.

12. Orthodox behavior conservative mind: Usually the children among the joint family system faces orthodox behaviors of elders and creates hurdles in the way of freedom.

13. Creates scare feelings by accomplishing the children’s requirements: Parents on other hand try to spend more and more in fulfilling the needs of their kids and create competition , this create a scare feeling to the whole family .

14. Numerous members demolish the mutual love: Due to the presence of numerous members of family a harmonious relationship of mutual love and affection doesn't develop .
