11. MEAN represented by M or is the most commonly used measure of Central Tendency. It is used to describe a set of data as to what point the values or scores tend to cluster or concentrate.  

12. To find the mean of ungrouped data. Use the formula Where: = the summation of x (sum of the item values) N = number of items  

13. Example 1: The Grades in Mathematics of 10 students are 87, 84, 85, 86, 85, 90, 79, 82, 78, and 76. What is the mean grade of the 10 students?

14. Solution : Therefore, the average grade of 10 students is 83.2  

15. Example 2: Johannes grades from 1 st grading to 4 th grading are as follows: 1 st grading - 87 2 nd grading - 88 3 rd grading - 86 4 th grading – 89 What is his total average?

16. Solution : Therefore, the total average grade of Johannes is 87.5 or 88
