LEARNING OBJECTIVES
WHAT IS EXERCISE Exercise is any activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and over all health and wellness. It is maintaining fitness and helping to prevent obesity and other diseases.
JUMPING JACKS It is a physical jumping exercise performed by jumping to a position with the legs spread wide and the hands going over head, sometimes in a clap, and then returning to a position with the feet together and the arms at the sides. Stand upright with your legs together, arms at your sides. Bend your knees slightly, and jump into the air As you jump, spread your legs to be about shoulder-width apart. Stretch your arms out and over your head. Jump back to starting position. Repeat.
PUSH UP Push ups are one of the most basic yet effective bodyweight moves you can perform because of the number of muscles that are recruited to perform them. Start in a plank position. Your core should be tight, shoulders pulled down and back, and your neck neutral. Bend your elbows and begin to lower your body down to the floor. When your chest grazes it, extend your elbows and return to the start. Focus on keeping your elbows close to your body during the movement. Complete 3 sets of as many reps as possible.
JOGGING It is a form of sustained running or trotting at a steady and slow pace. It is much slower than running but is faster than walking. Help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise. Strengthen muscles Improve cardiovascular fitness Burn plenty of kilo joules Help maintain a healthy weight.
GROUP ACTIVITY Arrange the puzzle to form a picture and demonstrate it in front of your classmates. Explain the benefits of doing it.
