2. INTRODUCTION In recent years, the adoption of technology in educational institutions has increased significantly, with the aim of enhancing efficiency and improving processes. Online Clearance system have emerged as a tool to streamline clearance processes in educational institutions.

3. STATEMENT OF PROBLEMS Manual clearance system in academic establishment plagued with inefficiencies, delays, and give room for errors. Students face challenges including lengthy queues, and missing paperwork, There is sometimes miscommunication between departments that further impair on students clearance process.

4. AIM AND OBJECTIVES The aim of this system is to design and implement an online student clearance System for federal college of wildlife management New Bussa. The objectives of the study are: To design the model database for online clearance. To implement the model using HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and PHP. To evaluate the developed system for interactivity and ease of use.

5. DESCRIPTION OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM The existing clearance system is a manual and paper-based process involving several steps for students to obtain clearance before graduation or other academic milestones. Initially , students collect a clearance form from the registrar's office, which lists all the departments and sections they must visit for clearance. Students first visit their academic department to ensure there are no pending academic obligations, such as unpaid lab fees or library fines ..

6. PROBLEM IDENTIFIED IN THE EXISTING SYSTEM Due to the manual means been used by the college, keeping information about student clearance, a lot problems are encountered which includes: Delay in processing clearance form. Unavailability of some key staffs while processing clearance form, which leads student repeatedly visiting a particular office in other to sign his/her clearance form. Lose of vital document as the filing system is manual. Damage of document due to fire or rain incident. Illegal removal of forms by fraudulent staff leading to insecurity. Take a lot of time to retrieve a particular clearance form.

7. THE PROPOSED SYSTEM This is a project program design to manage the process of student clearance and store them in a database. The program also have the Compatibility to secure, access, delete, update and retrieve information, also maintain data integrity of fields by making use of (Primary Key) which can prevent multiple or common mistakes been made from the Manual process and at the same time eliminate the inaccuracy and time consuming which the manual process operates on.

10. STRENGTH OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM The new system is designed to solve problem affecting the manual system in use. It is design to be used online thereby relieving both student and staff from much stress as experienced from the manual system. Accuracy in handling of data Fast rate of operation and excellent response time. Easy way of back up or duplicating data in diskette in case of data loss. Better storage and faster retrieval system. Accessibility from any part of the world.

12. RUNNING AND LOADING OF THE SYSTEM Install WAMP server on the system on the system to implement the software on. Insert the installation CD. Open the Web folder directory. Copy the folder to “C:\ wamp \www\ student_clearance \” Open the MYSQL directory Copy the folder to “C:\ wamp \bin\ mysql \mysql5.0.51b\data\ student_clearance ”. Open the wamp server to start the server. Then locate and open any suitable web browser. On the address bar, type http:// localhost/student_clearance/ The index is displayed from which the various menu can be run

13. CONCLUSION Research and development are continuous processes; this is same in computer and software development. However the effectiveness and efficiency of this new system provide room for further improvement. As early mentioned some of the objectives of this project were not actualized due to some limitation. So this objectives could be improved upon, the outline clearance system developed will offer greater opportunity in school management. All transaction or payment with regards to student’s clearance can be carried out online.

14. RECOMMENDATION The research work carried out is limited to online clearance only. It would be better if a full portal is developed for effective and wholesome of information management technology in our college. When this is done the following modules are recommended to include in the portal. Developing an online students admission system to enable full tracking of student records Automation of student academic record to enable the management to have access to student academic performance. Maintaining a central database for accessing information relating to student.
