DETERMINERS Words that helps to specify the nouns we are talking about are called determiners. They are used to introduce noun.
TYPES There are 8 types of determiners. 1. ARTICLES 2. DEMONSTRATINES 3. POSSESIVES 4. QUANTIFITERS 5. CARDINAL & ORDINAL NUMBERS 6. DISTRIBUTIVES 7. DIFFERENCE WORDS 8. INTERROGATIVES
1. ARTICLES * Definite: The (Refers to particular noun) 1. I saw a Mercedes car. 2. I saw the Mercedes car that met an accident. * Indefinites : a/an (Don’t refer to particular noun)
2.DEMONSTRATINES Noun that are close to us: This (singular) ----------- These (Plural) That -------------- Those Why is this pencil lying here? 2. Is that your mobile on the table there ?
3.POSSESIVES To whom a thing belongs: My His Her Their Your Its Our Your house looks beautiful. Our team will surely win.
4.QUANTIFITERS How much or how many noun. A few, most, A little ,some, much, any, many, theses, enough, least.
5. CARDINAL & ORDINAL NUMBERS CARDINAL NUMBERS ORDINAL NUMBERS One Two Three etc . First Second Third etc.
6. DISTRIBUTIVES All Both Half Either Neither Each Every (Usually used with Singular countable nouns)
