The weather in Peru is different depending on the area. What is the climate like? It is hot all year round near to the Amazon rainforest. It is usually warm on the coast and can be rainy there in the winter. It can be cold in the mountains at night.
Llamas are a well-known and common animal in Peru. What is the wildlife like? They have been important animals in the history of the country. The Inca used them for wool and meat. They were also used for transporting goods in the past.
Alpacas are also members of the camelid family and are closely related to llamas. What is the wildlife like? Alpaca wool is used as fabric to make many things including jumpers, shawls and suits.
